With the growing rate of Web 2.0 applications it just gets pretty confusing. Where does one start so it is relatively painless to get some understanding of the environments and the new literacies that may be required?
A buzz phrase "the 23 things" has produced multiple sites that provide 23 activities to help you get started. Each activity introduces the user to a Web 2.0 application and, in so doing, a range of multiple literacy skills that keep you on the edge.
On revisiting some previous posts I'm forced to reflect on a comment made by Dr Michael Stephens at the ASLA 2009 conference re "the 23 things". It appears to me that these are hosted by various groups and associations. So, you might have to do a search around to find a suitable provider that meets your needs.
