Hi Karen,

With your interest in Web 2.0 Tools, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording conducted by Nellie Deutsch on Technology Integration.

Karen, I've used podcasts & vodcasts from browsing the web myself. I like that learning because I can stop it when I want & reflect or come back to it later. Can see that it would be useful in the classroom to allow students to work at their own pace, to repeat the podcast if necessary, etc., to manage their learning more themselves, although being aware that they need to demonstrate their new learning in some way. Maybe they could produce their own podcast to illustrate this!

Hi Karen
the ning is an excellent medium for initiating some pre-conference discussion. Your efforts in providng a supportive online enviroment to encourage teacher librarians to explore the possibilities of web 2.0 technologies as part of their professional learning is exciting and beneficial to all.

Hi Niels.
No part of the ASLA online conference will be held in a face-to-face environment so the opportunities to capture recordings and/or streaming are limited. Unless any participants involved in this network wish to deliver their comments/responses in a multi-media format of photos or video to this environment.

Thanks Karen!

I wonder if you are planing to make recordings and/or streaming in true time during this conference - or put out mp3-files after for the attendees?

The PP from Ken price would be far more efficient containing the recording of Ken and displayed as a PP WITH sound i e.g. SlideShare

Regards
Niels
