Explore the impact of the digital agenda for school libraries

Kate

It's Monday, and I don't know where to start!

Well, I read the papers over the weekend, snatching a few minutes here and there to note my thoughts while trying to deter various offspring from interrupting my flow... with varying levels of success (deja vu - it's post-grad all over again!!)

So much food for thought - some great ideas, cautionary tales, even contradictory approaches - but that gels with my experiences in the real world. At the moment the paper that is particularly well-timed is Pru Mitchell's discussion of professional learning portfolios/ePortfolios and personal learning environments (PLE). Having just graduated from CSU last year, and on this my 11th day at my new TL job, the idea of starting up some kind of ePortfolio is really attractive - especially say a wiki; there are so many facets to being a TL (thank you James Herring for your dendrite-like diagram) that I need a space to organise a really diverse collection of skills and ideas and documents and objects in a more intuitive structure than that of a straightforward blog.
