Welcome. I hope we can use this environment to draw on the experiences of others to find out how they may be using the skills/capabilities of the children in the school to help them navigate and understand the digital rollout. Sometimes we may need to have some courage to allow the students to teach us as they just seem to have "natural" ways and means of using the technology.
I hope you will consider registering for the conference as there are a couple of papers on how students are using YouTube and video games to develop multi-literacy skills.
